Tenant Information

We may find and rent a property to you within a matter of days, so you need to understand the rental process before finding a private property to rent. To protect both tenant and landlord rights you will have to go through a series of checks, referencing and sign tenancy agreements. We always want you to rent through us, so we don’t just organise viewings; we help you at every stage of the complex rental process, including making and negotiating an offer.

Tenant Charges

A Holding Deposit the equivalent of one week’s rent is required to be paid prior to HomeFinders taking up references, to reserve a property (the holding deposit is refundable)

A Deposit the equivalent of 5 weeks rent is required to be paid at the commencement of a tenancy
Please note that the need for a Guarantor may not become apparent until we start referencing an applicant or joint applicants or until all references for an applicant or joint applicants has been received.

Rent is payable in advance on the tenancy start date and then monthly in advance. You may be charged a fee of no more that 3% above the Bank of England’s base rate for each day the rent is overdue (this is chargeable once the rent has been overdue for 14 days past the agreed date). A reasonable Fee for the replacement of a key or security device. A reasonable Fee for changes to a tenancy.
